Ah, life in the Mushroom Kingdom is in peril. King Bowser Koopa has stolen the beloved Princess Toadstool and has her stowed away in his dungeon. You are the hero Mario, a fat, lasanga eating machine from Brooklyn. Save the princess and she might feed you some spicy italian meatballs, but if you can't, you'll just be confined to reruns to the live series of your own show, The Super Mario Bros. Super Show, for the rest of your life ... can you handle the task?

Plot: This is how we can sum it up into simple terms: you Mario. Brother Luigi. Save Princess. Evil Bowser. There are 8 worlds in this game where you can skip (or "warp") forward if you find them. You have to go through several terrain like ice that doesn't slide, platforms that move up and down out of nowhere, and enemies that only a drunk guy could concoct in the middle of a keg party. If you find some way to understand what I'm saying, then you must be on crack. There are imposters at each world castle (world x-4) that look like bowser, but only the real one lies in world 8. If you can beat him, you get to do it over and over!

Sound: How many people haven't made some sort of remix of the music? The songs are embedded within our hearts forever and although it gets a crappy rating, it is still one of the most recognized songs in the video game market if you ask anyone today.

Graphics: It's an early game. Give it some slack will ya! It looks pretty much like all of the games released in 1985, but out of all the released, this probably has the superior in graphics usage. Sexy princess!

Challenge: It's hard to give a game any higher than what I'm giving it when you've probably beaten it over a million times in your life. Whether I do it in my t-shirt, underwear, with or without my glasses, half or completely drunk, it's still THE game to play.

Gameplay: I still find this game one of the easiest to control, even outdoing newer games in the later eras. I really like the idea of "braking" your character in midair when you need to make the perfect jump. Use this game to hone in on jumping skills and other basic video game maneuvers!

......BOTTOM LINE: There are so many types of challenges you can make out of this game. You could even dare to beat it using your feet on the controller if you even dare. All I can really say is that this is a classic. Live to love them. They paved the way for your sequels and awesome games of today.
