Adventure/SportsYou and some friends want to build a halfpipe to show off your skills. As your skating around, you're bad, you're the man, but look out! Oh man, you just hit the mayors dog! You'll be in big trouble for this Mr. skateboarder dude. Looks like that halfpipe has went down the drain ... or has it? Are you going to let anyone stop you? Watch out for the mayor, the town bully, Icepick, and his minions. Your goal is to raise money and use blueprints to reach the ultimate dream.
Plot: Your inital goal is to beat the living daylight out of the mayor. After accomplishing this, your supposed to be a delievery boy and use your skateboard to go about the mall and deliver packages for money. Using the money, you buy the plans, but they get spilled all over the beach by a fan. Pick those up, but damn! Icepick stole your friend TJ and the plans! Beat up Icepick, rescue TJ, and find the plans in an ultimate maze that will have your mind spinning and then you'll have your ramp which leads to the "ramp mode". Show off your skills for maximum points!
Sound: The songs may be somewhat annoying, but I'm sure to those many who have played this game, everyone starts pissing in their pants when they hear the awesome introduction and ramp music. Who sang "Skate or Die ... Skate or Die ... die die die die die"?
Graphics: They are plain garbage for the most part except in the cinema scenes where you get to see yourself, TJ, and friends get picked on by Icepick and the mayor for all the trouble you caused in the start. The graphics will cause some trouble with landing jumps and making out how to steer away from people so watch out.
Challenge: C'mon guys. Raise your hands if you've beaten this game. Yeah, that's what I thought. You make so much fun of this game, you can't even bother to tell me what the ending is *laughs*. Despite how much you don't like the game, it actually is progressively tougher to beat as you continue further in the game, especially in level 4 (aka "the maze level"). I suggest you draw a map or else you'll never go anywhere. Even then I get confused at how the elevators work into my drawings ... bah.
Gameplay: You figure I'm going to give a game a bad grade if you can't control or tell what the hell your player is doing. Why do I even bother repeating this fact over and over again? Oh maybe I'm high on listening to so much bad game music ... sheesh.
......BOTTOM LINE: I can sum this up in a few words: adventure sux0r and ramp r0x0r. My, I feel like I'm trying not to write a review, but rather a scolding lesson -_-
