First off, not many people have played Klax. Why haven't they, do you ask? Well kids, first, it is unlicensed, which means that all the good Power Players out there didn't play a game of such shoddy quality. Second, people may be turned off by the extremely nutty hand on the front. The hand looks like it was worked over by fat Tony of the mafia. Maybe Klux (whoever he is) had a gambling problem. Or third, maybe people wouldn't buy Klax because their parents thought the idea of a twisted, disembodied hand on an unlicensed Nintendo game meant disaster was afoot.

Well, if you are one of those kids who threw a tantrum over Klax in the middle of the store because your mom wouldn't shell out 40 bucks, then rejoice! For Klax isn't extremely hard to find, and can be had at relatively cheap prices. So give your mom the finger and head on out to your nearest NES game store and put your money DOWN! Let me tell you, this is one quality game. It may not have the Nintendo seal of quality, but who gives a flying rat's ass anyhow?

Graphics: I think the graphics in this game are your standard 1990 style NES graphics. While this game does not need to be very graphic-intensive, it still manages to give us a little eye candy to assuage our hungry desire for good graphics. However, since the game warrants it, they are quite simple. Blame the game itself for that one. But at least it isn't a total washout. OKAY GRAPHICS = GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME DAMMIT!

Sound: I can't give enough praise for the music and SFX in this game. It is definitely Journey to Silius quality. There is a sound test and even a drum testing screen. There is different music every stage and it is always entertaining. You may even find yourself tapping your feet or snapping your fingers (while you lose because your only playing with one hand) to the music. The most entertaining part of the sound is the very sexual moan that some chick gives in the beginning of the game. Also, if you miss a block that is coming down at you the game will yell and scream in pain. There have even been some reports of the cartridge being in so much pain that it actually got up and dialed 911 (true story! some kid in Philadelphia it was... I think his name was groxx or something).

Control: The control is good in this game, seeing as there wasn't much they could screw up, because all your moves consist of moving back and forth and shoving tiles up off yourself. the point of the game is to finish little goals that the computer will give you like: "Score 10000 Points" or "Get 3 Klaxes" etc. The game consists of blocks rolling down a platform at you, and you have to use your paddle (you) to catch the blocks and throw them onto the bottom of the screen. Once there, you have to place the blocks in rows of 3 like-colored blocks going up, down, left, right, and diagonal. If you get 3 together, you get a Klax. Seems simple enough, right? Well, once they start going, they get pretty quick. Also, there is a little mini game included with Klax, called Blob Ball. It is a pong type thing where you hit around a booger and it bounces off the walls at weird angles and gets going pretty quick. A fun game, definitely.

Frustration: There is a bit of frustrating parts to this game, like how the computer knows exactly when you need a certain piece, so they don't give it to you until you don't need it. Also, those damn pieces start going fast at all the wrong times. Those bastards. But, all in all, this game is very easy to get along with and will provide hours of endless entertainment for the whole family. :D

......BOTTOM LINE: I love this game. And if you don't like it, you can go suck a golf ball through a garden hose for all I care, because you are obviously an Un-American, Un-capitalist, Pro-terrorist, piece of Osama shit. KLAX R000lZZZ. and don't forget it. I could literally play this game for days on end without sleeping. and not only is it fun, it is kinda rare, (B+) and definitely worth picking up if you stumble across it.
